Hi all,
A quick post:
A single juvenile Stilt Sandpiper was seen at the Independent Grocery Store
stormwater pond today around 12:30pm. Other shorebirds present were Killdeer,
and Lesser Yellowlegs.
The Independent is located on Highway 21 on the north outskirts of Port Elgin.

In addition to the birds seen yesterday there were three buff-breasted
sandpipers present at 11:30 at the Beeton Sod Farms (Corner of the 15th
sideroad and the 11th Concession.
Directions: To get there take the 15th sideroad either south from Hwy 89 or
north from the Beeton Road until you reach
On the passerine front there's not much to report; flocks of Goldfinch and
Bluejays visiting feeders and garden sunflowers, lots of Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds and a few Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, but very little mention of
warblers or vireos. New for the fall were about 20 Am. Pipits on Amherst on
