This afternoon I observed a Turkey Vulture feeding on a Road Killed Carcass of
a Racoon. It was observed on the 5th Line of Innisfil, 1/2 a km East of the
20th Sideroad on the North Side. I was able to get some Pics as it was more
intent on the Meal than my Car being stopped about 50 feet away!
I saw a massive flock of Rock Pigeons going crazy over downtown Peterborough
this evening only to see a gray phase gyr launching itself off a massive maple
and straight for them. I lost it in the chaos of wings and bodies so can't say
forsure if it did catch a late supper. This is my first Gyr s

Just a block from my home at 1pm I found 12 Pine Grosbeaks feeding in a Crab
Apple Tree on Oxford Street in Richmond Hill. The tree is on the front lawn of

This morning there has been two Long-eared owls and a Short-eared Owl hunting a
field west of Port Hope in the dim lighting. The three owls, there may be more
are moving between two or three weedy fields that are sapced apart by corn
