I saw one Barnacle Goose flying east at close range near the wreck at the small
marina in Jordan Harbor on Boxing Day. The bird flew by with approx. 20 Canada
geese at about 3:30 pm. Face and neck were unmistakable, however the one
person with me was not able to confirm the siting ( my cousin
Hi All,
Today I took a trip out to Scarborough and headed to the east end. As soon as
I arrived at 67 Satchell Blvd I went to the backyard and the bird was at the
feeder (although hidden from view), it flew after I waited for 2 minutes and I
didn't even know it was there until I saw the red/pi
Hello Ontbirders
I just received photos of a Townsend's Solitaire taken by Francine
Streeting on December 21.
She took them at Steve MacLean/Long Park in Parkwood Hills, near the
corner of Meadowlands and Fisher.
To the best of my knowledge, the bird has not been relocated.

Despite Christmas Day falling right in the middle of this week's reporting

After searching in vain for the Bohemian Waxwings in Guelph today (later I
learned found on College St. by Doug Hannah), we did see about 40 Pine

far west as th
John Klymko just phoned to tell me that he had a dark or rufous morph
Red-tailed Hawk yesterday afternoon between 2 and 2:30 pm in Mississauga.
Due to lighting he couldn't say for sure it wasn't a rufous morph, but it
was proably a dark morph.

Wow! Weeehh!! Can somebody help me please and pick
me up from the ground? I have never seen that many RED POLLS & GROSBEAKS
together in some apple trees.
Thank you to Rick Lauzon for helping me locate these birds. It was
awesome. I spoke to the owner of the orchard and
The good news for birders here this week was that the rain
on December 23 has resulted in compaction of the deep snow
and some formation of a crust. This has made getting around
on snowshoes much better.
The Visitor Centre (km 43) will be open daily on December
27 to 30, from 10 am to 4 pm.
