Ran into a small group of SEO's hunting in the fields on the way out from
owl woods. See link for image, other images of short-eareds from taken can
be found under user name newfoundlander61. The trail to owl woods is heavy
with snow so snow shoes would make it alot easier then my walk without.

As I was returning to Stratford from the Woodstock CBC I saw an adult Snowy Owl
sitting on the top of a silo on the south side of Perth Line 33 (known locally
as Pork Road) It was about 5 km east of Stratford just east of Perth 110.

Hi Everyone
Late this afternoon while driving back home from the Pembroke CBC we did a
little bit of "drive by birding" along Hwy 17/ 417 to Kanata. It was a great
drive with 3 Snowy Owls, 2 near the intersection of Hwy. 417 and Kinburn Side
road and 1 at Hwy.417 and Galetta Side Road. Two flock
Finally sighted and photographed my first Bald Eagle. Located this morning
around 11:20 am flying along the shoreline between Millhave Pen & the
Amherst Island ferry. Taken after a quick jump out of the car. Images

in Ottawa. I rarely have a day off with work but I was out this afternoon and

Hello Everyone,
White-winged Crossbills have decided to fly up and be counted for London's
100th consecutive Christmas Bird Count. The Hugh Casbourn/Sue Southon party
spotted a flock of 35 White-winged Crossbills at about 10:30 this morning in
spruce trees on the west side of Crestwood Drive
There has been a hawk owl in between Haileybury and NewLiskeard since Monday
it is just off of Highway 11 and has been a fairly dependable bird
preferring a birch on top of a 30 foot dying poplar. Should anyone wish more
specific directions please feel free to contact me. As well we have
sightings
Snow continues to fall regularly, and
so getting around on trails or in the
woods requires snowshoes. Very few
birders appear to have visited the Park
in the last week.
A Golden Eagle was briefly observed
over the Sunday Creek valley off the
Visitor Centre on December 18.
