After scanning for about an hour the Western Grebe appeared out of nowhere
about 200 m off the southeast corner of the park at 830. The lake is fairly
choppy and the sidewalk icy (took a good tumble)so be careful!

I found the Western Grebe at the eastern most point of Ashbridges Bay at
12:05 p.m. It seemed to be exactly where Cheryl had it before 9:00 a.m.
Look southeast off the southeast point, which is southeast of the
washrooms(closed) and the east again of the second picnic area south of
Woodbine
Hello Ontario Birders:
It has been a while since I posted an update on the 2008/09 Ontario Winter Bird
List, but the recent sightings of the Western Grebe at Ashbridges Bay in
Toronto calls for an update. The Grebe is species # 196 for this year, 1 more
species than the 2007/08 Winter List.
