Found a juvenile female peregrine [by size] and banded - on a spit at Reesor
Pond at 7pm tonight and watched it fly and scatter ducks and shorebirds and
petrify six Great Egrets like I've never seen birds so scared before - in a
group facing the raptor - these six rigid in strange upright post
I had a Carolina Wren in my yard this evening in Ajax ... first time ever for
the yard #162! Never common in Durham, these little guys are notorious
wanderers - nice that he chose my place this time!

I was just called by Brandon Holden and he said that he and Kenny Burrell
have just found a Orange Male Ruff at the Blenheim sewage lagoons.
There are many other shorebirds present but as a side note there are
no juvenile shorebirds of note.
