Hi birders
We had a tufted titmouse for about 2 minutes at 9:15 a.m.It was in our lilacs
and then checked out 2 of our feeders along with a group of chickadees and
house sparrows and 4 goldfinches.They all flew over to an adjoining yard where
there are also feeders.Did not see them return but wi

A first year male Eastern Bluebird at the Visitor Centre (km 43) on October
26, which tied the latest fall date ever for this species here.

Before the November birding doldrums set in, there is still enough
activity at Presqu'ile Provincial Park to make a day's birding there
worthwhile. Moreover, some of the rare birds that periodically visit
Presqu'ile have begun appearing and typically show up in November.

Off-&-on rain and poor thermals have limited a significant lakefront hawk
migration
for each of Oct.27,28 and 29. Indeed, raptors for these days have been 15,4
& 12 resp.

Dan Kaczynski phoned me to tell me that the American Avocets could still be
seen from the viewing platform at Oshawa Second Marsh.
I saw 8 of them around 12:30pm in the north end of the marsh. Scope recommended.
