Shorebirding conditions are still excellent in Lagoon 1 at Blenheim and the
small shorebird pond at Tilbury. It is only a matter of time before something
excellent drops in.
At Blenheim today the highlights included:
-1 hendersoni Short-billed Dowitcher (worn alt. plumage)

For the second day in a row we've had a female American Kestral in our
backyard. Both times between 5-6 pm.
Something to keep an eye out for if you're in the area (Carlaw Ave/Strathcona
Ave - off of Withrow Park, Toronto, ON).

Today (01 August) at ~ 9:00 AM, 3 Caspian Terns were observed flying around
(sometimes together) over the Ottawa River west and north of the extensive
mud flats on the west side of the Shirley's Bay causeway. A singleton was

Birded a number of the eastern sewage lagoons today August 1, 2010. Overall,
there was only a small number of shorebirds mainly at Alfred and Casselman with
12 juv. Least Sandpiper and 3 juv. Lesser Yellowlegs( first for the fall). The
Alfred Sewage lagoon had a good variety of ducks
