Greetings!
We went up to Luther to see the bird - but no luck. Beautiful evening,
lovely breeze, watched the Egrets returning home, Cedar Waxwings
flycatching, and lots of Goldfinches.
But no Scissor Tailed Flycatcher.
Lve's directions are bang on:
Luther Marsh/Lake is located north of Rd 109 a
Redwing blackbird oddity. The head was bald halfway around. There was just
black skin on the front side of the head. Otherwise a normal looking bird
feeding at my feeder in the Islington and lakeshore part of Etobicoke,
Toronto. Seen August 1, 2010.

Hi Birders,
I was lucky enough to have a day off today and I observed the Scissor-tailed
Flycatcher at about 11:00 AM. Quite a looker! It appears to be a young bird
undergoing molt - it had a few missing primaries. This causes him to have a
somewhat labored flight. Better see him soon before a sh
Just received a call fro Jim Heslop who has advised me that the Scissor-tailed
flycatcher is still present on dufferin county road 15 800 m west of monticello
on the hydro wires.
Previous directions as posted this morning but a map book may be helpful. Sorry
for not doing complete direction but

I did not hear the Chuck-will's-widow last night ( August 2, 2010). I was there
from 9:03 to 9:45 p.m.. A Whip-poor-will started calling last night at 9:05
from the exact place that Chuck had always started calling (from the trees just
south of Doyle Road where the power lines cross). That had
