[Ontbirds] Nighthawks over Carleton Place [iain]

Between 5:30 and 6:30 this evening, Susan and I watched as roughly 30 Nighhawks flew over our backyard and along the Mississippi River just to the south of us. They were flying back and forth parallel to the river feeding. cheers Iain and Susan DSBC (NC)

[Ontbirds] Large flock of Blackbirds-Brantford,ON

While on my way home from the Windsor Airshow Sunday night, I saw a large flock of approximately 2000 Blackbirds with some Swallows mixed in. They appeared to be mostly Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds. This was on the 403 1KM South of the big white Brantford City Tower in a Farmers field.
