We returned to the Longpoint Causeway from Nanticoke at around 5:30 and the
Tundra Swans from the surrounding area were flying in to roost on the
patches of open water

On returning home along the Lake Erie shoreline today, from Long Point,
we had the thrill of seeing nine Bald Eagles perched together in the trees
on the South Side of Rainham Road, about a 100 feet east of South Coast Drive.
This is just east of the Ontario Hydro Plant.

This morning on my commute I was delighted to see the first flock of Snow
Geese for the season. It was a flock of roughly 300 individuals that were
sitting in a field just west of the Winchester bog on Stagecoach Rd near
Hallville. When I pulled over and got out to take a look, the flock
For anyone wanting to check Cobourg harbour this weekend, the first-year
male King Eider is still present today Friday, March 11, easy to see
swimming amongst the outermost boat docks on the east side of the short
middle pier.
