Hello,
I sat in my car for protection from the rain this evening at Lakeview Park
Marina in Windsor from about 6:00 p.m. until
7:30 watching the RB Gulls, Bonaparte's Gulls, Forster's Terns and occasional
DC Cormorant fishing in the protected
waters inside the docks. At one point a male RB Merga
Good evening.

Shock of the day to look out my window about 5 p.m. and see a lone Prairie
Warbler rummaging around the bottom of my feeders and going at the suet cakes.
But I guess they will do just that when desperate. Very nice coloured bird with
all the diagnostics showing. No time for photos as it was kee

At around 2:05pm Erika, Georg, Ingrid Hentsch, as well as three other birders
and myself saw the Le Conte's Sparrow in the same weedy field described by
James Holdsworth.
Just a tip if your planning on "twitching" this bird, it spends a lot of time
running and hopping along the ground so its a
Hello Ontbirders
Great weather for birding along the Ottawa River this morning between Deschenes

Previously I reported 2 White-fronted Geese in the Newcastle area. I
am not an expert and misidentified these birds.
I don't know what they are, but I wonder if they are a cross with a
Canada Goose.
Here is a link to the pictures I took.
I would appreciate any feedback regarding the identity of the

There was not much chance of being overwhelmed by migrants this week. Those
that did arrive trickled in to give us a decent variety but the dam will surely
break with the first warm day. There were 2 Great Egrets in the marsh east of
Westbrook last Friday and a Sandhill Crane was at Elginburg y
