Hi Everyone:
I have been advised that the permits for the Port Perry/Nonquon sewage
lagoons are now available - see instructions below. As always everyone needs
their own permit for liability reasons. Have a great season!
Permits must be purchased in advance of entering the lagoons. They cost
A cool day in a continuingly moody spring, but birds’
circadian rhythms in tune with recent global warmings look to expand their
reproductive possibilities in time and space – this on top of many storm
centres in places south leads to some unusual sightings for April. After the

A second year Bald Eagle with radio tracker was seen over Hendrie

crows. Canada Geese, Mute Swans, and a pair of Trumpeter Swans were
panic stricken at the sight of the eagle. Hendrie Valley is opposite

Greetings!
While dodging rain drops I had the pleasant surprise to see a Yellow
Breasted Chat at Tommy Thompson. It was in the bracken by the Wet Woods. Go
right after the parking lot, walk along the trail and past the first copse,
lots of water, walk a bit further and go to the left and up the ri
First of all, an apology/explanation for the lateness of this report,
the result of severe wind damage to the computer server through which
this is delivered. Easter weekend was pretty spectacular at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park, not only for variety of birds but also for some
stunning rarities

At Britannia C.A., highlights were a RED-NECKED GREBE and a COMMON LOON on
Britannia Bay, two EASTERN KINGBIRDS, YELLOW-RUMPED, PALM, PINE, and YELLOW

The Piping Plover was still on the same section of barrier beach this

sent out and just waiting a reply to the birds origin and likely
destination. Also several Spotted Sandpipers and Killdeer on the beach as
