Gary Little found a Plegadis ibis in the northeast section of the lakefront
marsh in Port Hope about 3pm this afternoon,
Tuesday August 16. It was not identifued to species, and unfortunately could
not be refound when several local birders, including myself, arrived to look

Good Evening.
Just got home from a hot day on The Islands and it turned out to be a good day
for Naish McHugh, Margaret Liubavicius, Bill Smith, Peter McParland and myself.
We took our time and beat the bushes and came up with 71 species of birds
including the following:
Black-billed Cuckoo,
There have been a steady stream of bobolinks going over my new home in Scugog
Twp just outside Uxbridge for the past three days. Tonight, at least 12 Common
Nighthawks were hawking for insects as they slowly drifted south over the
house.

I had 9 Common Nighthawks hunting insects over my farm 5 miles NE of
Gananoque this evening at dusk.

Today I heard a Whooping crane calling in with a small flock of Sandhils
around 4pm outside of the hamlet of Opasatika hwy 11 in Northern Ontario.
