[Ontbirds] Northern Hawk Owl near Marathon, Northern Ontario

Hi everyone, There was a Northern Hawk Owl at the Wabikoba Creek bridge on Hwy 17 (about 45km east of Marathon). The bird was atop a snag on the southern side of the highway, 150m west of the bridge. A small group of noisy White-winged Crossbills alerted us to the owl's presence. Cheers,

Hi Ontbirders The water levels along the Ottawa River continue to drop and there is more exposed mudflats at Shirley's Bay. There were 3 juv. Red-necked Phalarope feeding along with 50+ Lesser Yellowlegs, 1 Short-billed Dowitcher, 6 Semipalmated Plover, 4 Solitary Sandpiper and 60+ Semipalmated
