Hi Ontbirds people,
During a hour's visit to the mud flats at the east end of Andrew Haydon Park
around noon today (14 October), Bob Bracken and I noted that a flock of 12
Hudsonian Godwits were still present, standing up to their bellies in water
among the Canada Geese and common puddle ducks.

Thought I would beat the weekend weather and pending marathoners through
Toronto this weekend and ventered out to see the PUGA at the below mentioned
spot and located the bird at 10:00am today.
>From parking car to actual bird sighting- 20 minutes.

Hi Everyone
Spent a couple of hours earlier this morning birding the shoreline at Constance
Bay. There were still 2 Nelson's Sparrows on the west side of Constance Creek
and it took some time to find them. The Long-billed Dowitcher flock is now up
to 6 birds and there is still one Hudsonian Godw

This morning has seen persistent and building south and southeast winds of
25-30 km/h (gusting up to 40 km/h) off Thickson's Woods in Whitby. Twice in the
last hour, a juvenile Black-legged Kittiwake has come in to the bay off of
Crystal Beach Boulevard. Also seen were 2
Despite the spectacular long weekend when we all thought we were back in
August, migration is moving along quite nicely. A White-winged Scoter on Lake
Opinicon last Saturday and a concentration of 30 Common Loons in the Amherst
Island ferry channel Sunday were noteworthy. Four Tundra Swans were
