Hi Ontbirders
The Razorbill found by Mark Gawn was still present at dusk tonight. It had
drifted a little east of Deschenes Lookout (west end lookout of the Ottawa
River Parkway) and was out in the middle of the river where the gulls were
resting/roosting. It appears to be in good condition and
Lots of sparrows along the path that begins across from the parking lot for
Hutch's Restaurant on Van Wagner's Beach Blvd (Hamilton area) -- eight species,
including a single CLAY-COLORED, plus Dark-eyed Junco and Eastern Towhee.

Britannia and Champlain Bridge:

The Razorbill was still being down river from the rapids as of 4:
While scoping the east pier at Port Stanley harbour, I found a basic plumaged
Red Phalarope. Also seen by Andrew Keaveney, Mark Dorriesfield, and Mason
Stothart. Still being seen. I took some very poor photos - they will be posted
on my blog tonight.

old Landfill Site.

Hi Ontbirders:
While watching the razor bill at Britannia Point, Bernie Ladoucer shouts out
Gannet over the water flying toward the stone foundation St Deschenes Rapids.
The razorbill is much closer to the Quebec side.

Hi all,
Yesterday I saw a juvenile RED PHALAROPE during the early evening at the
Alfred sewage lagoons (East cell) on Peat Moss road. It was still in the
same area this morning. It can be viewed from the tower (free access). See

I found an immature White-eyed Vireo this morning at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park - only the second ever fall record for the Park of
this less-than-annual visitor. It was with a mixed flock of kinglets,
