Quite a surprise for Maria Price to see a Barred Owl land on the ramp speed
sign at 8:30 pm Monday, as she left northbound Whites Road in Pickering to
join westbound Hwy. 401.
As with many car birds, the location equals the directions!

The Razorbill was still present off Deschenes Lookout along the Ottawa River
Parkway at 3:20pm. It was quite a distance out, likely on the Quebec side of
the river but easily seen with a scope. No sign of the Western Grebe but still
1 juvenile Red-throated Loon, 4 Red-necked Grebe

I have reviewed the total birds & hours from the three GTA sites. With hours
recorded and birds per hour it indicates High Park = 74.3 per Hr., Iroquois
Shoreline = 64.3 per hour & Cranberry Marsh at 39.2 per Hr. Once again if

This afternoon on the lunch hour, Rob Dobos found a Pacific Loon off the end
of Gray's Road in Stoney Creek. It was in the company of three Common Loons
giving good comparisons of size and structure. The bird was at scope
distance but did come in briefly with the others, constantly diving. Other
At 12:40 pm - at Fletcher Creek area in Brampton, saw a large group of 24
Turkey vultures migrating SW.
Conditions were windy but the birds were finding some thermals to soar.

The Razorbill is currently being seen on the River. This bird could be seen
from either the Deschennes Lookout on the Western Parkway or the boatlaunch on
the Quebec side east of Vanier Rd.
So far no reports of the Western Grebe today
