Hi Everyone
Spent a couple of hours viewing gulls at the Trail Road Landfill site late
yesterday afternoon. Lots of activity both in the landfill and the ponds along
Trail Road and Moodie Drive. Viewing conditions were excellent and I observed
11 Lesser Black-backed Gull (various ages), 2
Algonquin continued with relatively mild temperatures and no snow on the
ground until the end of the week.
Noteworthy Sightings:
Common Loon: an adult feeding a fish to a large but perhaps still flightless
young bird was photographed at the Opeongo Access Point on November 4. We

Hi Omtbirders:
Counted 9 Green-Winged Teals ( 3 males) at Andrew Haydon Park. They were all
very close to shore hanging on the west side of the pond keeping out of the
wind. The Scaup were doing the same and there are a good number of them in the
same pond as well. The 2 Brant geese present
Observed a Juvenile Snow Goose today mixed in with some Tundra Swans and
Pintail on the North side of Cataraqui Bay, Front Road Kingston 11/11/11.
Directions:
From Hghway 401, taken Gardiners Road/38 south to Bath Road.
Turn West on Bath Road to Days Road
Turn South on Days Road to Front Road
