The Owl Woods on Amherst Island wii be closed to the public from Nov. 19 to
Dec. 11 because of deer hunting.

Yesterday (November 17, at about 10:30 am I saw a snowy owl on Hwy 12, about 2
km north of Sunderland sitting on a fence post on the east side of the highway.
We were so close to it that binoculars were not needed. Although it was aware
of our presence, it certainly did not have a problem with

Today there was a Greater White-fronted Goose at Andrew Hayden Park

Visited Andrew Haydon Park this afternoon. Green-winged Teals still around
(counted 4 males). Large number of Scaup still around. Did not see the Brant
Geese although I saw one or two at another location yesterday on the drive to
work.

Good day
This morning I saw and photographed a Greater White Fronted Goose in the
Western pond at Andrew Hayden Park. The bird was among many Canada Geese and
followed a large group out and into the water. I watched the bird from approx

Today at LaSalle in Burlington we spotted 3 Tundra Swans, male, female and
juvenile. There were also many Trumpeter and Mute Swans. Other waterfowl
included: Redheads, Buffleheads, Scaups (not sure if they were Greater or
