Yesterday (November 17, at about 10:30 am I saw a snowy owl on Hwy 12, about 2 km north of Sunderland sitting on a fence post on the east side of the highway. We were so close to it that binoculars were not needed. Although it was aware of our presence, it certainly did not have a problem with

[Ontbirds] Tundra Swans at LaSalle

Today at LaSalle in Burlington we spotted 3 Tundra Swans, male, female and juvenile. There were also many Trumpeter and Mute Swans. Other waterfowl included: Redheads, Buffleheads, Scaups (not sure if they were Greater or Less), Common Merganser, Double Crested Cormorant, American Coot and of cou
