I was likely one of the last to view this wonderful bird late this afternoon.
As of approx. 4:50 PM the bird was still present in the cornfield on the North
side of Conc.1,
approx. 150yds west of the Long Lane Orchards Sign (which is on the south side
of the road).
The bird was very active,land
The sixth Linwood CBC was held today, January 2. Weather throughout the day
was quite challenging with near whiteout conditions for a
majority of the day, however 35 hardy observers gave the circle perhaps the
best coverage yet and as a result many species were recorded in
record highs (17(!)
Tony Bigg, Luke Berg and I had a flock of 40 Bohemian Waxwings on County
Rd. 6 (S. Stoney Lake Rd) just (250 m??) north of Northey's Bay Rd
during the Petroglyphs CBC early this morning (Jan 2). This is just
east of Petroglyphs Provincial Park. They were not there when we
returned to the area

Earlier this afternoon (approximately 2:30 pm), Jean and I were discouraged by
the blowing snow and lack of observations of the Black-throated Gray at
Bayfront Park in Hamilton. We returned to our car for lunch. From the car, Jean
spotted a juvenile Black-crowned Night-Heron perch
The Mountain Bluebird was seen by several birders and was still being seen when
we left around 3pm.

Hello OntBirders,
At Cranberry Marsh on the South Trail, Jan 1st between 3:15PM - 3:30PM , my
husband & I observed a male "Oregon" Junco in a small flock of Slate-Coloured
Juncos. It was seen along the right hand trail where the path splits that leads
to the lake. It was feeding along the gras
The female Mountain Bluebird is currently being seen at the location in the
post below.

Sorry for the late post, sent this yesterday and for some reason it did not
show up..
After having great looks at the Great Grey Owl in Kingsville again around noon
yesterday, my son and I headed over to the onion fields to look for the Snowy
Owls reported there recently. No luck after an hour
Three of the well-documented snowy owls at Presqu'ile Provincial Park were
visible on Sunday.
One was seen from the Park Office Viewing Platform, soaring and swooping over
the frozen marshes.
The other two were seen along the Owen Point Trail, one on the beach and the
other on the shore of Gu
