While leading the TOC outing to Western Lake Ontario this morning we came across what I believe is a Mallard X Pintail hybrid. The bird was seen at the viewing platform over the small "marsh" east of the main parking area. Here is a link to some pictures I took of the bird http://www.flickr.com

There is an adult Heerman's Gull at Britannia Point NOW, found about 20 minutes ago. It was perched on the ice edge at the eastern end (seen from the point). It just flew to the west end of the open water. For QC listers it was briefly on the QC side.
