The male Eurasian Wigeon is still in the spot earlier today ,around 12 Noon,
also here were Caspian and Common terns (foy) and a barn swallow flying with
tree swallows

Hello everyone! We tried this evening for the Eurasian Wigeon on Lakeshore
Rd at the Jaeger Rocks this evening. No luck at our first attempt around
4:30 to 5:30pm. After a dinner at nearby Kelsey's we DID locate him, around
6:45pm. He was in exactly the same location described by Alec Humann an
A Fish Crow was heard calling from the woodlot across 82 Macauley Ave in Turkey
Point at 9:00 am today.
Directions: From Front Rd turn south onto Turkey Point Rd; turn right onto
Cedar Dr.,right again onto Ferris St. which changes into Macauley Ave.

This afternoon around 5pm I had at least 2, possibly 3, FISH CROWS perched in
Shell Park. It appeared as if one was feeding another at one point.
All were about 200m away from the stand of tall pines wherein a single PINE
WARBLER was observed singing.

Hi all,
Further to Mark Pecks pair of Fish Crows at Bronte. This afternoon at 3.00 pm
and again at 4.45pm I had a group of four Fish Crows go over my house all
calling and doing high diving, wings swept back flight displays, quite a sight.

The pair of Fish Crows are back in Bronte Harbour as of 5:45
LocationDirections: Exit the QEW at Bronte Rd. (Oakville) and go to the lake.
Oakville transit routes 2 and 14 serve the area from the Bronte and Oakville
GO stations respectively.

Hello,
This morning at around 8:00 a.m. at Hillman Marsh Sylvain Cote and I heard a
NORTHERN BOBWHITE in the brush on the east
side of the shorebird cell where the path in from the parking lot arrives at
the mudflats. It sounded very close to us
off to the right (north) as we faced the shorebird
I too, saw a Shrike on Wylie Road about 150-200 yards South of the "Carden
Sno Drifters" sign.
I managed to get a few pics which I haven't as yet posted.

We spotted a loggerhead shrike today, Good Friday, on the south side of McNamee
Road, just west of the old quarry road. Acting in typical shrike behaviour
between ground and hawthorns it was easily seen with binoculars for a long
period of time.
None were seen up the Wylie Road.
Directions: Th
No rarities to report from this past week. A few new migratory species
were reported including VIRGINIA RAIL, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and
RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, but all in all, things seemed pretty quiet. We
await the next warm spell to reinvigorate the spring migration.
