At 9:45 am, there are still 2 Cattle Egrets just a
short drive outside Rondeau Provincial Park.
Directions: Leaving the Park, continue east
on Lakeshore Drive [ Rose Beach Drive ].
You will pass a trailer park-- Wildwood Park.
The egrets are feeding in

Bird activity at Long Point as been similar to the daily reports coming out
of other locations in south-western Ontario, except with its own brand of
goodies (summarized below). A summary can also be viewed on the Long Point

At around ten a.m. This morning (May 10) I heard and saw a Clay-colored
sparrow in the field just south of the main trail in Black Oak Park. It's
located off Broadway street in the far west end of Windsor.

Seen right now at 12:05 at Hillman Marsh shorebird cell are a Marbled Godwit
and Cattle Egret.
Hillman Marsh is north of Point Pelee National Park.

The Marbled Godwit is still present as of 12:30 at Shorebird Cell but Cattle
Egret flew north of Hillman. Worth checking surrounding area.

I found 3 singing male / territorial Prairie Warbler's on an impressive rock
barren about 3.5 km west of Kaladar, along Hwy 7, immediately north of Beattie
Curve Road [Google earth calls this Suphide Line for some reason]. There was
also a singing male Golden-winged Warbler along

Hey Birders,
Another nice day here on the island. Things were again a little slow (north
winds), but with some nice birds. The weekend looks like it may bring another
push of new migrants so make sure you're out for Saturday!
Highlights:
Purple Sandpiper - 1 adult coming into alternate
Although the peak of the spring bird migration at Presqu'ile Provincial
Park normally occurs in the middle of May or a bit later, the past week
has met or exceeded expectations, both in terms of numbers and in terms
of variety. At least one rarity has added spice to the menu.
The BRANT
Hello Ontbirders.
Our daily warbler roundup yielded 26 species. The Yellow-throated
continues to visit feeders regularly (if erratically) at a site on
Lakeshore near the Visitor Centre. It was seen between at least 9:30
am and 5:15 pm. The bird only goes to the suet feeder very briefly on
