The variety of birds at Presqu’ile Provincial Park in the past week exceeds
anything since last spring and includes some quite unexpected species.
The ducks that have been spotted in Popham Bay have included such as NORTHERN
SHOVELER, 16 REDHEADS, GREATER and 2 LESSER SCAUP, WHITE-WINGED SCOTER,

Today I was driving past a small pond behind the Harvey's and Swiss Chalet on
Holland St. West in Bradford and had close-up views of 4 Baird's Sandpipers
accompanied by R.-Billed Gulls. This "pond" is really more of a temporary pool,
so the birds may not hang around for long
At least 1 bird still present with 21 killdeer and a dozen peeps. In open condo
development field as reported by Wayne. May be a juvenile bird but a little far
away to make the call.

This morning, following up on the alert post by Dave Worthington, I
arrived at the site at 11:00 am and after a short search found the two
Buff-breasts feeding east of the bridge on a sparsely-vegetated area
of the flood plane with Killdeer and Canada Geese. They were watched

A pair of Buff-breasted Sandpipers & 1 Bairds Sandpiper were still present at
the bridge this morning. They were both easily seen on the mudflats east of the
bridge.

This morning at 9:am a juvenile Green Heron was in the east pond where the
strange pontoon contraption with the hammock is floating
Also seen were a Great Blue Heron and a Common Goldeneye
Humber Bay East is in Toronto a the foot of Parklawn and Lakeshore Rd
