I gave up the watch at 5:30p.m. (saturday) after starting at 11:00a.m. It was
utterly jaegerless. No sightings after the 8:30a.m. report.
Lots of birders came and went throughout the afternoon.

This afternoon at 4:30 I saw an adult Little Blue Heron fly east across the 416
about 1 km south of Roger Stevens Drive. This is just north of an extensive
wetland on the west side of the road, where there is construction along the
road (ie traffic cones on a freshly paved shoulder). This may b

Phalarope, a Baird's Sandpiper, and a long staying Stilt Sandpiper

This afternoon at 2pm there were 9 AM. GOLDEN-PLOVERS at Beltown Park near
Britannia Beach. The golden-plovers were on one of the exposed shoals out into
the Ottawa River, though easily visible with binoculars. Other shorebirds at

Further to the report from Rondeau yesterday, we got a report at the park today
of a Brown Pelican sighted off the western shore of Point Pelee yesterday by
some local residents who were out fishing. Definitely worth keeping an eye
open for.
