Seen perched as I was driving by. Subsequently seen flying twice at close
distance. Matches Sibley's depiction perfectly so far as I could tell.
Difficult to observe do to 402 traffic obviously.

The male Eurasian Wigeon is still on the lake west of Thickson Point (opposite
the gazebo) along with 2 Brant.
We also spotted an adult and a juvenile Northern Shrike as we walked along the
trail
White-winged Crossbills are still in the tall spruce trees on the south side of
Thickson Woods.

Until the recent cold snap shut down the migration, a number of uncommon birds
were still passing through Presqu’ile Provincial Park. For the past two days,
birding has been reminiscent of winter birding without the snow.

It's been an active week for winter birds on the northern portion of the Bruce
Peninsula. Here are some highlights:
Northern Hawk Owl - One was found on Monday (Nov 5) by Don Duoma near the town
of Ferndale. Attempts to refind the bird have been unsuccessul.

The Male Harlequin was seen again today from grain elevator, the bird was seen
today just inside of narrows to harbour, also showing up today were 4
Long-tailed Ducks along with Black Scoters, WW Scoters, numerous Horned Grebe &
Red-necked Grebe which were also seen earlier in the week.
