The swallow has not been seen again since it left its roost at 6:55 am. It is likely around but it will take some work and luck to refind it. There is not much around despite the good nw winds. 1 red-throated loon, 2 cackling geese, a snow goose and 3 bald eagles are the only birds of note so far

This morning at about 9:45 a.m. I relocated a Black Vulture in the Dundas Valley in the City of Hamilton that was originally reported by Ryk Naves on Nov 22. I had the bird roosting in a large hemlock tree at address 820 Sulphur Springs Rd. This is where the road drops into the Sulphur Creek

At Humber Bay Park West, there is a very large flock of scaup and redhead. Amidst this flock as of 11:00am today was a gorgeous adult male surf scoter. The park is off Lakeshore Blvd. just west of Park Lawn. Within the park, the birds are on the bay that is along the shore to the west

There is one Ross's Goose with a group a Canada Geese at Hunterpionte Golf Course in Welland in the Pond behind the clubhouse. He visable from the parking lot to the left of the building.The golf course is located on 289 Daimler Parkway. Take the 406 highway to Welland and turn on Daimler it is

While walk the trails behind Bell High School in Nepean in western Ottawa I I photographed a flock of about 20 female Pine Grosbeaks feeding on crab apples. There were few Aimerican Robins around as well. Shortly afterwards a flock of about 80-100 Bohemian Waxwings came in to feed as well.
