There are about 15 pectoral sandpipers and 10 greater yellowlegs in the
flooded field at 8th line and Britannia. 8th line is one road west of the
407. The area is in Milton but it is just west of the Mississauga border.
In addition there are a variety of ducks - blue-winged teal, pintail,
shovell
Watched the Ross's Goose late this afternoon in the restoration pond next to=
the Trisan arena in Schomberg until about 6:00 pm. It then flew south to t=
he grain fields along Aurora Rd in Pottageville with all the Canada Geese to=
feed. Just before dark it returned with the flock of Canada Geese

Spent the day birding Amherst Island. Overall a beautiful sunny day with lots
of bird activity. The Owl Woods had a nice variety of land birds including 12
Eastern Towhee, 3 Brown Thrasher, 2 Hermit Thrush, 1 Red-bellied Woodpecker, 3
Pine Warbler, and 3 Ring-necked Pheasant were h

Smythe Park: Northern Rough-Winged Swallow (1), Winter Wren (1).
Directions: Toronto, the entrance to the park is from Scarlett Rd. just south
of Black Creek on the East side.
Eglinton Flats: Brown Thrusher (2) – first time since 2002; White-Throated
Sparrow (1), Hermit Thrush (1),
The yellow throat is back, actually there are two of them.
They were at the suet and peanut feeders at the visitor centre most of the
afternoon.
Take exit 101 off the 401 and follow the signs to the park.

Hello all,
There has been about 50 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS feeding on a fruit tree near my
place at Clevedon and Woodington drive. Been here the past two days if

Hi Everyone,
I'm currently on Frank Kenny road at bearbrook creek, between Russell Rd and
Colonial south of Navan. There are 2 Ross' geese close to the road in the creek
amongst a loose flock of 500 Snow geese.

On April 21st at 3:34p.m, at the intersection of Arran Concession 2 and Grey
Bruce Line, a Short-billed Dowitcher was in a flooded field with many
yellowlegs and a few Pectoral Sandpipers. Orange Dowitcher overall, with no
white edges on it's scapulars, eliminating Long-billed.
It's a busy road
I birded The Wet Woods at Tommy Thompson Park this morning. The White Eyed
Vireo was still there. As well as 4 warbler species. Pine, Yellow Rumped,
Palm and an Orange Crowned Warbler. Also a Great Horned Owl being chased by
a Peregrine Falcon. Rusty Blackbirds as previously reported and many
At 1:10 pm I re-found the Worm-eating Warbler reported earlier by Mike Tate.
The bird was working the cedar trees on the north side of the Botham Woods east
of the Woodland trail at Point Pelee National Park.

Hello ontbirders, Just an update to the bird Norm and I found yesterday. Ian
Cannell had gone over this morning and just called me to say despite a good
search; the bird was not refound. At least by him. The bird could very well
still be there or be sheltering at another location nearby such as
The male Blue Grosbeak continues to visit the nature centre feeders today
(April 21). The best viewing is from inside the centre where it has put on a
great show for park visitors.
The Ojibway Nature Centre is located at 5200 Matchette Road about 1 km south of
EC Row Expressway in Windsor.

Sunday morning in the wetwoods. Also yb sapsuckers, b creeper, winter wren,
hermit thrush, house wren, song sparrow,n flickers, rt hawks, killdeer, fox
sparrow. TT Park is at the base of Leslie st on Lake Ontario in Toronto. The
wet woods are just behind the parking lot.
The goose is present at 7:40 a.m. On the east side of the "wetland". See below
for directions.
