This afternoon I found the second(?) breeding record for Sandhill Crane at Hillman Marsh. I was able to observe one chick with two adults but there may have been one more chick as it was difficult to view due to the long grass. Good Birding, Dean ___ ON

[Ontbirds] Northern Mockingbird TORONTO

I was walking south along the West Toronto Railpath last evening around 7:00, when at Randolph Avenue I encountered a Northern Mockingbird, on the west side of the path .  I am from Chicago, where Mimus polyglottos is rare enough, but was surprised to see this bird north of Lake Ontario.  I se
