The Dickcissel was being very co-operative today (15 June 2013) from 1230 hrs
to at least 1300 hrs. It often sang from the top of the 2-4 m tall cedar trees
and sometimes from the planted pines in the field to the west of the road.

Six weeks after the first egg was observed we have a young grebe in Bronte
Harbour. I did not get an egg count today but there were 7 on June 11. There is
another grebe nest in Bronte Creek upstream from Lakeshore Road.
There are about 3 dozen easily observed Cliff Swallow nests on the east side
