Between 1250 and 1600 Monday Nov 4 a male Harlequin Duck was seen several
times. He moved, always with Buffleheads, from the eastern edge of Col.
Samuel Smith Park to about halfway down Rotary Park- the final viewing..
That is only a few hundred metres east.

While searching for the resolutely elusive Br
Spotted a Northern Shrike at Lynde Shores on Sunday, Nov 3. Each winter, 1
seems to take up residence there, favouring the junction of all the paths as
its territory.
Other than the usual suspects, species of note spotted:
Green wing teal
Shovelers
Coots
Wood Duck
Golden eyes
and the Bufflehead
Several of us (Dave Milsom et. al.) observed the continuing Pacific Loon at
Oshawa Harbour this morning.
This morning, the bird has been as far out as the far eastern red buoy several
hundred metres offshore, and as near as 20m off the end of the pier and inside
the harbour channel. This is w
