My cell or my understanding of my cell let me down earlier.
While looking unsuccessfully for Purple Sandpipers at the barge around
3:30 pm today, I scoped at least 3 Northern Rough-winged Swallows.
Water levels are high.
Numbers of gulls are building above the Falls. In addition I had an
The female King Eider was still present at dusk (ca. 5 pm) on Wednesday. She
has spent most of her time foraging surprisingly close to shore, say 10-20 m
away. Many photos were taken by numerous people. At dusk she was associating
with two pairs of Mallards, making for a nice comparison to the t

There was a high migrating adult Golden Eagle over Roblin about noon, drifting
south eastward toward the Kingston area. Later there was also a Rough-legged
Hawk and several Ravens in the same area.
Roblin is west of Kingston about 14km north of Highway 401 on Highway 43.

The purple sandpaper is still present however it moves around a lot and we
found it both on the Southpoint and the Eastside of Whimbrel point
