Good morning. At approx. 10:30 this morning I found the Ross Goose/ Hybrid?
2.3 Kilometers West of the Lafarge cement plant on #33 hwy. There was also a
blue phase Snow Goose in same flock of geese.

It has been confirmed I see that this bird id a pure Ross Goose. Sorry for any

Just thought it was noteworthy to mention that myself, Steve Charbonneau and
Pete Chapman saw three GOLDEN EAGLES along the Ausable River near the
Thomson Line at the Sylvan Bridge this morning. We often get one Golden
there this time of year, but we first saw two adults together, then just as
No luck looking for the Common Eider yesterday, however I did see what appeared
to be a juvenile male Snowy Owl. Waterfowl included Canada Geese, Mallards,
American Black Duck, Common Goldeneye, Bufflehead, White-winged Scoter,
Long-tailed Duck and a lone Muscovy Duck.

The third annual official Cape Croker CBC was held today, Sat. Dec. 14, in
raw easterly winds, constant lake-effect snow, reduced visibility, and
unrelenting -11 to -12 temperatures. As a result, the totals for species (37)

The 80th Woodstock CBC was held today (December 14th). Of special note,
this was John Harvey's 60th consecutive Woodstock CBC! The weather was
challenging with strong east winds gusting to 54kph and heavy snow falling
all day. Visibility was poor and overall numbers for most
Bald eagles have arrived in South Lake Simcoe. One 3-year old bird was
observed roosted in a large Black willow tree on the shore of Lake
Simcoe at Cook's Bay on Saturday December 14 at 12:50 p.m. The bird was
eating a large carp fish in the tree about 25 feet above the shore bank.
