This morning there were three King Eiders, one young male and two females, in Bronte outer harbour. Three Tundra Swans flew by to the west. Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road (Oakville) and go south to the lake then walk out on the pier. The pier is icy. The eiders in the harbour with oth

[Ontbirds] Hooded Mergansers, Prince Edward County

An early pair of Hooded Mergansers showed up early, and in an unusual spot, Cressy, in Prince Edward County. A White-winged Scoter, common in the County but rare at this location, was also spotted nearby. DIRECTIONS: From Picton, take County Road 8 to Cressy Lakeside Road. The ducks are on Lake
