Hello,
On Saturday, April 19 at 4 in the afternoon I spotted an Eastern Towhee male
rummaging noisily among dead leaves for three hours. Two White-Throated
Sparrows (white-stripped form) were also present.
Birding at Eglinton Flats since 1999, this is my first sighting of an Eastern
Towhee.

Hello All;
Looks like my ID on the snipe was misdirected. Probably a Wilson's snipe.
Photos I took were at a great distance, and no field marks to distinguish these
two birds. My source was Sibley's.
Sorry for any confusion.

About 30 birders joined me on a very pleasant day of birding various spots
within the Prince Edward County South Shore Important Bird Area (
http://ibacanada.org/site.jsp?siteID=ON003&lang=EN) for the first(?) annual
spring OFO trip here. We had perfect weather and the birds were pretty
cooperative

There is currently a male Eurasian Widgeon at the north end of Corner Marsh in
Ajax. It is transitioning into full breeding plumage so is relatively easy to
pick out among the other assortment of duck as it has a bright rufous face and
cream coloured central head stripe.

Birders,
The bird is present in the backyard at 6494 19th Line. Previously reported
as going to the feeders, today it appeared in the yard at 8:50 Am and did
not go to feeders but rather just flew about the yard. It liked the
crabapple tree near the house and feeders.
Photos obtained.

Yesterday, on the way back from Pelee, I had a pure white bird sitting in a
farmer's field. Definitely a raptor of some sort. It flew off as I turned
around to try to see it better. I caught a pic of it flying away. When it
perched, way off in the distance, I thought I saw bright yellow feet.
