At 0835 this morning, we had a Beautiful Vivid Indigo Bunting feeding on
sunflower seeds under our bird feeding station in the backyard!! He was a
beauty!!!
We are located on the edge of the Westminster Ponds Conservation Area in South

Good morning birders,
Birding was excellent first thing this morning but activity has died down
quite a bit since as the day warms.
Several interesting sightings on South Point Trail early on included a
Summer Tanager and Cerulean Warbler near the eastern parking lot,
Connecticut Warbler and
Common Loon, Canvasback, Ring-necked Duck, both Scaup, Osprey, Cooper’s and
Broad-winged Hawk, Virginia Rail, A. Woodcock, Glaucous Gull, R-t Hummingbird,
5 Red-bellied Woodpeckers, E. Wood-Pewee, Alder, Least, Willow and
Great-crested Flycatchers, E. Phoebe, E. Kingbird, Cliff Swallow, Winter,

An adult male Orchard Oriole was at the south end of Lemoine Point in
Kingston today (Sunday 11 May) at 9:30am. The bird was singing and foraging
in the short pines and planted saplings along the trail.

About 1 30 today a male Indigo Bunting showed up at my backyard feeders in
Thickson Woods. Last seen at 2 pm. Feeders can be seen off Corbett ave in
Thickson Woods. Thickson Woods is at the south end of Thickson Rd Whitby

Hi everyone,
This morning I saw a Worm-eating Warbler at Prince Edward Point - next
to the road/path that leads around to the lighthouse, about 50 feet from
the gate.
Prince Edward Point is at the southeast tip of Prince Edward County.
From Belleville, take Highway 62 south to Schoharie Road.

Fourteen people enjoyed a great day in the field at Presqu’ile (morning) and
Peter’s Woods (afternoon). The bright sun, heat and a bit of wind kept song
and activity down a little but we managed to find 84 species, including a few

along Woodland Nature Trail at 2:45 PM, just south of the fallen American

Good afternoon,
Although the hot weather continues to make birding slow at times, there are
still some nice pockets of birds around, most notably at the start of Marsh
Trail and at Pony Barn.
Many birders have come away with great sightings of Prothonotary Warblers
today, with birds at the
A flock of about 1000 Snows at the Winchester Lagoons this afternoon included
one adult Ross'. Also present were 200+ shorebirds, mostly Lesser and Least
(Yellowlegs and Sandpipers, respectively), but including 2 male Wilson's
Phalarope.

A group of birders saw a Golden-winged Warbler at Erie Beach/Waverly Beach
today around noon.

Directions: Waverly Beach is best accessed from the QEW off Thompson St. Exit
on Thompson St. and head straight down to the lake.

Once again Red-necked Grebes are nesting in Bronte Harbour as they have every
year since 1997. The nest tire was recently installed and quickly occupied. As
of this afternoon there were no eggs. The nest is not a thing of beauty,
containing many large sticks. There is a photo on my Flickr page.

in a spruce tree at the southeast end of the Old Airfield (Mew Lake Campground)

I saw a Brewster's Warbler at Mud Lake in Port Colborne today around 2:30 in
the afternoon. I spent a good half hour with the bird and still heard it
calling as I walked away. I was on the Blue Trail and the bird was seen on
the trail section that runs parallel to another paved trail
