Kentucky warbler continues to sing and show well. Worm Eating warbler also
heard clearly but not seen. Other birds of interest included Black-Billed
Cuckoo, male and female Scarlet Tanager and singing Wood Thrushes.

I was driving towards Mitchell's Bay this afternoon and was less than a
block away when I spotted a small group of White Pelicans flying at tree level
right across the road ahead of me. I was too busy trying to pull over and
park to count, but there must have been at least 5 or 6 Pelicans. By
This morning at 8:30 AM I found two Sora at the Richmond Conservation area
near Ottawa. They were vocalizing in the marshy area along
the north edge of the south most cell (the one with the viewing platform).
Over a half hour I was able to get two good views.

The weather on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26 was very favourable with high
temperatures reaching 25C on Sunday. Winds were light.

Today at Whimbrel point I think we got the closing show. Only 218 birds were
seen leaving Virginia last night and we at Sam Smith actually saw more than
that today. From 5:45 am to 10:30 there were 323 birds in 5 different flocks
making the grand total since
Around 8 pm this evening (May 27) I saw a pair of swans at the south end of
Commando Lake. Both birds had more yellow on the bill than typical Tundra
Swans, but one of the birds had an extensive, somewhat raised, patch of yellow
covering half of the upper mandible. By the time I remembered that
