After work yesterday I stopped in to check for the reported Ross's Goose in
North Bay. It was feeding with a group of about 100 Canada Geese on the same
set of sports fields when I arrived shortly before 5:00 PM. Several field marks

This morning at 8:40 I found two Fox Sparrows at Jack Pine Trail in
Ottawa. The birds were with a huge flock of Slate-coloured Junco and
White-troated Sparrows on the initial segment of the trail between the

as we progress into Fall. Water levels in the fenced cell are back down
(finally) and are good for any late shorebirds and many waterfowl. The other
