A single Ring-necked Duck and two small rafts of Redheads have come up from the
Detroit River to explore the now open Little River this morning. Also present
in the same area with some regularity - one or sometimes two male Wood Ducks. I
suspect there will be similar variety throughout the day.
Late post; last night 18:10hrs Leslie street just south of Stouffville side
road. Great view of a Pileated Woodpecker in setting sunlight on the woodpecker
excavated tree at the CN tracks.

David Creelman and I had a Killdeer fly over us heading south around 3:30 pm
today. No sign of any Red-throated Loons but I did have two unidentified loons
swimming too far out to ID.
Directions: south end of Colonel Samuel Smith Drive which runs south of the
Kipling
My Apologies for the late report.
Yesterday March 9th the Gyrfalcon was seen briefly at Lafleche Landfill at
1pm. It was on the furthest of the three poles within the landfill visible
from the road. It was already positioned on the pole with a kill when I
arrived at 1pm. I set up scope, could see
could I have included a picture - I got a good one
