There has been some recent movement in the bird world at Presqu'ile
Provincial Park and at least one newly arrived fall migrant. Otherwise,
breeding birds continue to dominate.
A GADWALL with three young appeared on July 6. Some diving ducks in

I thought I’d send out a quick message about Nonquon as the fall shorebird
migration is starting. Not a lot to report but there were 1 Lesser Yellowlegs,
1 Least Sandpiper + 5 Spotted Sandpipers and a Killdeer there today. Nice to
see them in such bright breeding plumages.

The Snowy Egret was present this morning at Windemere Basin in Hamilton -
first found back on June 12 by Cheryl Edgecombe. I can't find any mention
of it since July 3rd, so it seems to have other locations to visit. 3
