This evening at approximately 6:45, while doing some photography in Port Dover
(I was at GPS 42.798857, -80.213760, just north of Prospect Street), a flock of
sandhill cranes flew over at low altitude, traveling in a westerly direction.
They were mostly obscured by trees above me, but
Today I spent three hours birding the rectangle from Tottenham Road
west-east to 15 Side Road and south-north 9th to 12th LInes. The birding
was slim until I found a large cluster of gulls and shorebirds on mostly
stripped sodded field se of the intersection of 12th line and 15 sideroad.
