Just after 5:05 pm this evening I observed a single adult bird foraging among
Bonaparte's and Little Gu
This afternoon at about 2:45 PM I observed a Black Vulture just NW of
Paisley as it migrated north. The bird was fairly high, circling to gain
altitude, then went into a glide headed north for a couple of minutes
before circling again to gain more altitude. Paisley is just south of

Today at Meadowvale Conservation Area along the banks of the Credit River a
Rusty Blackbird was busy foraging , close by 100 meters south of the Trail Head
parking lot a Blue headed Vireo was showing well mixed in the with the Yellow
Rumped Warblers and Golden crowned kinglets.

A dozen observers enjoyed a classic late fall day's birding in Renfrew County.
We started at Lake Dore, taking advantage of excellent early morning lighting,
where there were large numbers of Bonaparte's Gull, estimated at 150: the
headline bird was a crisp adult Little Gull which did several fl
Please don't take this as a reason to stop looking! It is a large area with
lots of possible habitat. Checks in the next few days would be welcome by local
birders.
Kettle Point, McGregor P.P., and similar spots should be checked along Lake
Huron in the days to come.

A quick post of some highlights this afternoon for those thinking of stopping
at the sewage lagoons on there way home from the OFO convention.
1 Red-necked Phalarope

Blenheim lagoons are located on Lagoon Road approx 1.5 km
Juvenile Hudsonian Godwit and Stilt, also Pectorals Mersea 21 just north of
Mersea 2 same flooded field as yesterday's Sabine's. Found by Kevin McLaughlin.

There are currently two Hudsonian Godwits foraging on the exposed mudflats
along the edge of the pond at the Garden Hill Conservation Area. Also present
are two Lapland Longapurs (also feeding on the mud flats).
To reach Garden Hill CA from the 401, go north on highway 28. Turn left on

Hey Birders. So about 15 birders have been out since dawn looking for
yesterday's Eurasian Dotterel. A few people have briefly seen the Hudsonian
Godwit, though it has proven elusive to many of us.
Other shorebirds:
Dunlin, Black-bellied and American Golden-Plovers, Pectoral, White-rumped.

and moving about.
