Conditions were good for observing, despite a little very light freezing
drizzle around dawn and infrequent very light drizzle and light wind gusts
during the day. Temperatures ranged from minus 4 to 0 degrees C. The

I just got in from driving home from Montreal. We stopped to look for the
Smew but could not locate it. It was snowing a lot so visibility was poor.
It may still be in the area.

Present for about five minutes around 10:45 on top of a large juniper at the
Wood Hall Student residences in Glendon College. This is directly upslope from
the closed bridge. I had scouted this area earlier that morning and noted the
juniper trees and large numbers of Robins and Starlings feed
