To day was our first trip to Cooper Marsh Conservation Area Cornwall (Sat June
4th)
We had a good afternoon (birds are listed in the order that we spotted them in)

Common Yellowthrought Warbler

The singing male Yellow-throated Warbler that spent much of the day in the
Eastern White Pines in the backyards of the homes on Crystal Beach Boulevard
(particularly behind the house of Dennis Barry/Margaret Carney and my own
house), was still singing in the woods until
8pm American Restart seen at Headwaters Community Park located at Redstone and
Princeton. The trail at that intersection takes you all the way up to Elgin
Mills at Eyer Homestead Park. The American Redstart was seen south of Eyer
Homestead where the trail goes over a shot board walk

We were at the site of the Golden-winged warbler on the hydro cut on Thomas
Dolan Road in Dunrobin outside of Ottawa this morning when we encountered the
landowner. The hydro cut is actually private property and when pointed out to
us, there is a "no trespassing " sign posted on the

Ian Platt and I just finished our BBS route running west of Strathroy. We had a
few good birds. Of primary importance was a singing Dickcissel on Winter, about
500 m west of the intersection with Napier. One of our stops is right beside
where a farmer has dumped a pile of what looks
Blake Mann just found a Franklins gull at the tip.

Two adults continue in cootes paradise. The birds just flew east a short
distance at 540 Am from Dundas Marsh and are now floating in eastern part of
Cootes . They are just west of a small island but should be visible from
princess point or from the north Shore
