The Common Ringed Plover was still present in the same spot described below, at
around 8 pm tonight when we left. It's probably worth looking for in the
morning for anyone who didn't get a chance to see it today. Good luck to anyone
searching for it!!

The Common Ringed Plover just flew back in to the same spot that Jean described
in the email chain I'm replying to.
Island with gulls on it in middle of cell 2 in Tommy Thompson Park, Toronto

I saw some pictures of the PIPL that are in Burlington, and the colour bands of
one (two yellow and one orange) match those of a juvenile bird that I
photographed in Darlington Provincial Park on July 24th.

Two banded Piping Plover continue to be seen along the Burlington Beach
Strip today. They have been moving up and down along the beach but most
often seen today between the 3rd and 4th hydro tower coming south from
Spencer Smith Park. It is uncertain whether they will be disturbed with
beach goer
Another or the same plover was present along the St. Lawrence Aug 17-18
just west of Trois-Rivieres in Quebec. If the bird headed west at some
point on Aug 18 or 19 that would have given it a day or more to reach the
Toronto area.

basin. Many observers now.
