from near the parking lot to the suet feeder on Spruce Bog Boardwalk on the
weekend.

The first Saugeen Shores CBC 4 Kids was held on December 3, 2017. The small
group of participants identified and counted over 350 birds in the vicinity
of Northshore Park and the Port Elgin harbour. Highlights included Redheads
and Red-necked Grebes in the harbour, chickadees and a single White-bre

pleasant birding conditions and has opened up much of Presqu'ile Bay and

There were 2 highlights this week. 2 TRUMPETER SWANS were in Carleton Place
on the 22nd, and 3 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were on
I relocated the Lark Sparrow yesterday at 3:45 pm just as I was about to give
up. It was inside a shrub along the east-west fence beside a pile of discarded
industrial rubber. It took about 30 minutes of searching in a small area. I
did not inspect it but there appears to be a functioning ten
