I also observed the Brown Pelican between 8:30 and 9:00 mostly to the south of
Buoy #1, feeding on the U.S. side. In addition there is a report of a
Red-throated Loon between the train bridge and the Underwater recovery unit.
This location is south of Bowen Road on the Niagara Parkway.

For information a
Further to Marg Bain's note at 11:15 today, the adult Laughing Gull is
still at Cobourg pier at 12:30. It's sleeping on the pier among other
gulls, about 50 ' from the barrier. It may be there for a while.
Also,a lone Brant was on the lake east of the pier and 3 Whimbrel flew back
and forth along
Since Presqu'ile Provincial Park (now colloquially referred to as "Ile
Provincial Park") is closed until further notice, the only bird
observations to be reported here are those made prior to the closure on
May 29 or from parts of the peninsula not affected by the closure,
/i.e./, private lands
