The Avocet was still there, feeding along the south beach in cell 2 as of 11:45 a.m. this morning, Oct. 29. It had flown up to the north end and was swimming amongst the ducks for a while, so scan that area if you don't see it on the south beach. A lone Brant was a bonus in cell 2. Could be

I saw a Pacific Loon in non breeding plumage, complete with necklace at around 2;20 this afternoon . I was looking into East Bay while standing on the opposite side of the Y peninsula opposite Pipit Point at Leslie Spit. It has moved and I’m trying to relocate it. I will post again if re found.
