Despite much effort from numerous birders pounding the pavement the Townsend’s
was not seen today between 10 and 4:15. It may still be around or expanded its
area but was not to be for a number of disappointed birders traveling long

At 3:20 this afternoon a kettle of Sandhill Cranes flew over Longos in
Leaside, East York. I could hear them but was unable to see them until I
got my bins out of my trunk. There were about 75 circling and appeared to be

Nathan Miller and I refound the Yellow-throated Warbler previously found
northwest of Elmira on Nov. 11 by Darlene Lamarre. This bird had been
looked for after Darlene's initial sighting, without success; however,
today Darlene, again refound the bird (this morning) in the initial

ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists (OFO) - the
provincial birding
The White-eyed video reported at Palette Park in Burlington since Saturday is
still present. As of 1230 it is active in the northeast corner of the park
about 20 meters past the creek bridge. it seems to be moving between trees and
thickets on either side of the path.
